In 2017, Brother Richard Buffery walked from Lands End to John O’Groats to raise money for various childrens hospitals across the country. Ritchie took on the challenge, camping and staying in hostels along the way, and walked the length of the country in just under 2 months. He raised over £4500 for the various childrens hospitals on route.
In 2019, Ritchie set off again, this time John O’Groats to Lands End (now aged 75). Unfortunately he was unable to complete the walk this time, but still managed to raise a large donation for various childrens hospitals.
